If up don't know this face, pay attention. This is Lupita Nyong'o, a Kenyan Actress born in Mexico and educated at the Yale School of Drama. I first saw Lupita as the character Ayira in the MTV mini drama series Shuga (You can watch the series here). Lupita played a carefree spirited, fun loving young women who...(ok no spoilers, I promise it's a good series. Go watch).
She made her Hollywood debut in a big way with A-list stars at the Toronto International Film Festival playing Patsey in the acclaimed Steve McQueen movie, 12 Years A Slave. How about that gorgeous Prada white with gold sequin gown? She looks absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see her style blossom in the next weeks on the red carpet.
And don't jinx it but her performance has generated some Oscar buzz. The movie will be released in theaters in October 17. Above are a couple stills from the movie and tell me this doesn't give you chills!
