Eating in Baltimore- Indian

If the mountain won't come to Muhammad then Muhammad must go to the mountain. I would love to travel to Indian and other countries in South Asia but for now I'll have to make do with the India around me where I can pick out fabric, jewelry and of course indulge in some Indian cuisine.

1. My food buddies Gracie and Jackie at Kumari in Mount Vernon, Baltimore.
2. Papadum served with mango chutney, mint sauce and sweet tamarind sauce.
3. Vegetable Samosa
4. Garlic Nan
5-6. Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tikki Masala, Chicken Korma served with White Rice

I recommend two places for Indian food in Baltimore; Kumari in Mount Vernon and Akbar also in Mount Vernon. Akbar has another location in Randallstown.

  4. I find indian cuisine a bit hard to take in. I think they use so much spices it really takes a lot of getting used to. And a lot of rice. I guess it's not for the unexperienced belly, huh? ;)
